To all:
This is only specific to SRC, when recounting the thus-far passings of former members Richard Haddad, Elmer G Clawson, and Al Wilmot. However, in the larger picture of former musical friends from southeast Michigan's local scene, we see more and more of those who are no longer with us in this world. And now (mid-March 2014) we have just lost Scott Asheton, drummer for Iggy Pop and the Stooges at the age of 64 years (now seemingly young as we all age year by year). Before the beginning of The Scot Richard Case, brothers Ron and Scott Asheton were close friends with Scott Richardson, and during the 1967 they often hung-out at SRC's house on Broadway Street in Ann Arbor, along with Jimmy (Iggy Pop). Now those two brothers are both gone from our midst, causing a reminded reflection of how temporary this life is. At some future point, all of SRC's members will be gone. Hopefully for anyone then who might be curious about this trivial history (our grandchildren and beyond), websites and writings will leave enough accurate history to intrigue anyone who might wonder, "SRC, who the hell were they?"
